Ban Fracking Waste in New Jersey

In June of 2012 the New Jersey legislature passed a ban on fracking waste dumping,
which was subsequently vetoed by Governor Christie in September 2012. During a nine month period over 160 organizations collected 17,000 petition signatures and held dozens of local actions in support of the ban. Hundreds of activists marched on the state capital in Trenton on June 20, 2013 to demand that the legislators who voted for the bill last year vote again this year to override Governor Christie’s veto.
