“Making Faces”: The Art of Victoria Bellinger
Using diverse parts of the environment for art is one of the ways to express artistic talent.
This video is an edited version of Victoria Bellingers’s artist talk, which took place on October 12, 2019, 2-4 pm. The discussion between artist Victoria Bellinger and curator Phyllis Forman includes stories of Victoria’s life and her artistic influences and inspiration. The talk was part of the one woman show titled “Making Faces: The Art of Victoria Bellinger”. The show includes many ceramic heads and faces as well as recent pen and ink ‘Post-It’ note drawings and collages. The exhibit took place at Art on the Terrace Gallery, 776 Richmond Terrace, Staten Island, New York 10301, from October 5th to November 10th, 2019. This exhibition is made possible (in part) by a DCA Art Fund Grant from Staten Island Arts, with public funding from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs.Â
