9th. Annual World Maker Faire, New York

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT—

The 9th. World’s Maker Faire, a Celebration of Invention, Creativity and Curiosity, was staged at the New york Hall of Science by the grounds of the World’s Fair Park in the borough of Queens, NYC, on the weekend of September 22 & 23, 2018.  Unfortunately, there may be no #10 this year or into the foreseeable future.

This video, from the public access TV station Manhattan Neighborhood Network (MNN), will have to do for those of you who missed it last year and were hoping catch it this year or maybe next year.

We start off with the music of one of the marching bands as we view the enormous Tapigami sculpture of NYC and beyond at the entrance and exit of the Faire.  This is followed by touring with another marching band as they walk through part of the park.  Next we listen to the founder and staff of Maker Space at a press conference about their hopes and dreams and finally we visit some of the exhibits including Staten Island’s Maker Park Radio crew at work and environmental homes in use now, among other creations.
