803 Knickerbocker:  Multi-Family Passive House

Chris Benedict, architect and Henry Gifford, Mechanical Engineer, took their original designs for a 24 unit multi-family, 35,000 square foot building in Brooklyn, NY, @ 805 Knickerbocker and were able to change those designs into a Passive House.
This video explains and shows some of their ideas that made 805 Knickerbocker the second Certified Passive House Multi-Family building in the US and was completed in August, 2014.

Passive House is based on design principles used to attain a quantifiable and rigorous level of energy efficiency within a quantifiable comfort level.
