" Vandana Shiva on sustainability " is the second single from the third part of the film Field of View 's ' SUSTAINABLE' series in English. Dr. Vandana Shiva is an Indian scientist and social activist . For their dedication in the fields of environmental protection , biodiversity, women's rights and sustainability it has won several awards . She was the 1993 Right Livelihood Award - unofficially known as the Alternatie Nobel Prize - awarded because it has asked the subjects women and ecology at the center of the discourse on modern development policy . She is also a member of the Club of Rome and the International Organization for a Participatory Society ( IOPS ) .

Dr. Vandana Shiva ist eine indische Wissenschaftlerin und soziale Aktivistin. Für ihr Engagement in den Bereichen Umweltschutz, biologische Vielfalt, Frauenrechte und Nachhaltigkeit wurde sie mehrfach ausgezeichnet. Ihr wurde 1993 der Right Livelihood Award – inoffiziell auch alternativer Nobelpreis genannt – verliehen, weil sie die Themen Frauen und Ökologie in den Mittelpunkt des Diskurses um moderne Entwicklungspolitik gestellt hat.
