MarchAgainstMonsanto NYC

#MarchAgainstMonsanto #NYC

A global action to inform the public about the long term, sustainable plans to stop Monsanto’s corrupt activities and damage to life on our planet. Currently, events are scheduled in over 400 cities, across 6 continents, 52 countries, and 47 US states.

March against Monsanto was started by Tami Monroe Canal, a member of March against Monsanto NYC. She was moved to action to protect her two daughters. “Monsanto’s predatory business and corporate agricultural practices threaten their generation’s health, fertility, and longevity,” Canal said. “We must act now to stop GMOs and harmful pesticides.” March Against Monsanto NYC

#MAMNYC stands in solidarity with millions of activists from around the world and will once again March Against Monsanto, not only to call for the permanent boycott of Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs), but also to connect, educate, and activate communities’ awareness, and make effective and collective solutions to fulfill our common visions and goals, and to stop Monsanto. On March 23, 2015, in the fourth March Against  Monsanto in New York City, hundreds of thousands will gather to march from Dag Hammarskjold Plaza to Tompkins Square Park to demonstrate our grievances against Monsanto in a nonviolent and interactive gathering.
