Red Hook Frackdown

Sunny’s Bar

The Brooklyn neighborhood of Red Hook was one of the many New York communities hard-hit by Superstorm Sandy.

On October 11, we’ll call on Governor Cuomo to help prevent climate catastrophe by supporting a ban on fracking.

We’ll gather at Sunny’s Bar in Red Hook, a business that barely survived the devastation, and hear from those who suffered first-hand from the storm. We’ll highlight fracking’s impacts on climate, our health, and environment. And, because it’s a bar, we’ll also call attention to the beer and wine industry’s opposition to fracking!

This rally is part of the Global Frackdown, an international day of action against fracking (www.GlobalFrackdown.org).
