Sierra Club NYC Endorsement of John Liu

The Sierra Club NYC, along with other groups, holds an environmental press conference to endorse John Liu, the present NYC Comptroller, for the Democratic Party’s nomination for Mayor of NYC.  They also recount the list of environmental issues that John Liu has agreed to:  Opposition to selling and long term leasing of public assets; Putting Solar Power onto NYC Public building rooftops; Providing “Green Apple” bonds to upgrade NYC Public Buildings environmentally; Supporting companies that handle hazardous waste; Protecting aquatic life in the East and Hudson rivers; Permanent protection of Community Gardens; Opposition to Fracking and proposed gas pipeline extensions AND Comprehensive environmental solutions versus quick fix ideas.  Tuesday, September 3, 2013
