On June 26, 2013 the Supreme Court ruled that the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), which restricted the definition of marriage to the union between a man and a woman, is unconstitutional. Four days later, a group of anti-fracking activists participated in the Gay Pride Parade in N.Y.C. They were joined by N.Y. State Assembly member Linda B. Rosenthal, who together with N.Y. State Senator Diane J. Savino, authored a bill to monitor and regulate the radioactive element radon that is present in fracked gas.
